How do i book an appointment?

The best way to book an appointment is to call us! Service times vary from client to client, so speaking with us over the phone is the best way to get you set up as soon as possible. Don’t like the phone? You can send us a message on our Facebook page! (We are also considering opening up online booking in the near future.)

Do you take walk-ins?

No, we see clients by appointment only. Sometimes, we have last minute cancellations available and appointment slots open up. You are welcome to call at any time to check for those, but we cannot guarantee availability.

What hours are you open?

We are typically open Monday-Friday 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM. However, our hours of operation vary depending on scheduled appointments each day. Some stylists may begin before or stay later than normal hours.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Any clients with unresolved returned checks will not be permitted to revisit the salon.

How does the tipping process work? what is normal?

Our prices do not include gratuities for service providers. If the service meets or exceeds your expectations, it is definitely appreciated. The industry standard is 20% of your total service fee. The total amount of the tip is given to the service provider you worked with the same day of the service (cash or card).

What type of color do you use?

We primarily use Matrix color products. We use some additional color lines to achieve specific looks.

Can I get professional color done if I have “box dye” on my hair?

Absolutely! Box dye has been demonized by the professional hair industry because of its use of harsh ingredients that can be very damaging when improperly removed. The best way to avoid this is to be honest with your stylist about what is on your hair so that she can take the proper steps to help you reach your goals.

is it safe to have my hair colored while pregnant?

We recommend that you check with your doctor before having any chemical services done to your hair while pregnant. We do provide services to pregnant clients with the understanding that results may vary due to hormonal changes.

Should I wash my hair before my appointment?

Yes. Contrary to popular belief, clean hair is the best for stylists to work with. Day 2 or 3 hair may be workable for your stylist, but hair that has significant buildup of oil, sweat, or product may need to be washed by your stylist before she can work with it and this may cut in to your appointment time.

Can I bring someone with me to my hair appointment?

We prefer that you come to your appointment on your own. The salon sees many guests and crowding can limit stylists’ work area. Minors or those who need assistance are certainly permitted to have someone accompany them.

Do you allow children in your salon?

Children are welcome as long as they are scheduled for services. If not, we ask that you respect the other guests’ peace and quiet by leaving your children at home. This also allows you time for yourself to enjoy your services.

What is proper salon etiquette?

Beauty Bar is an adult environment of relaxation and renewal. Please respect all of our guests’ experience by keeping conversations appropriate and at a volume that does not disturb others.
